Parenting asks everything of you — your energy, patience, presence, and love. It’s sacred work, but it’s also constant. Between caring for others and managing daily life, it’s easy to forget that your own body and nervous system need tending, too. The Booth at Material Moon Refuge offers a way to refill your cup — literally and energetically — so you can return to your family feeling calmer, clearer, and recharged.
A Reset for the Overextended Parent When you step into the HaloRedO₂ booth, you’re stepping out of “go mode.” The warm red light helps your body shift from survival into rest and repair, easing tension and regulating your nervous system. The softly salted air opens the lungs, calms the breath, and reminds your body how to exhale fully again. Every fifteen-minute session can feel like an exhale you didn’t know you were holding.
Support for the Demands of Modern Parenting Energy and recovery: Red light therapy supports cellular energy (ATP), helping reduce fatigue and muscle soreness — ideal for parents who are constantly on the move.
Calm and mood balance: The combination of red light and salt ions helps soothe stress hormones and lift mood, bringing you back to center.
Respiratory and immune health: Halotherapy gently supports the lungs and immune system — a bonus for families navigating seasonal changes or shared sniffles.
Skin and self-care: While you rest, your skin reaps the benefits too — the salt purifies while red light rejuvenates. It’s multitasking of the best kind.
For Families, Too (Halotherapy Only) The benefits of halotherapy are safe and supportive for children of all ages. Sessions can help with respiratory issues, allergies, and general immune health — and for little ones who struggle to slow down, it’s a gentle way to breathe and reset together. In a family session (kids 10 and under), your treatment will include only Halotherapy and last 30-minutes. (No need to change to expose your skin to the light). Kids under 10 have thin skin, so 2-5 minutes of Red Light therapy is plenty for them to experience. As with all parts of your wellness, consider speaking to a pediatrician if you choose to explore this with kiddos. With consistent use, it can be a wonderful tool for navigating asthma, allergies, lung capacity growth, post-COVID era symptoms, and eczema (if coming for eczema you may want to wear clothes that accommodate the exposure of the salt to the skin).
A Moment That Belongs to You Parenting doesn’t leave many quiet spaces, but this one can. The Booth is a cocoon of calm — a place where the world gets quieter and your breath deepens. When you take care of your energy, everyone around you feels the ripple.
