I was recently asked about Halotherapy for a person with Cancer and found myself unsure what to say. After looking into it more and reflecting on these modalities more, I thought a blog article might be the best way to touch on the topic of The Booth and diagnosed diseases.
The company the HaloRedO2 comes from has been a real help in getting this business set up, including providing a waiver template, that has been customized slightly for Material Moon Refuge's location and offerings. It is clear in this waiver that Halotherapy and Red Light Therapy are not recommended for a range of ailments, including Cancer and Diabetes.
This isn't to say people with these illnesses in their life can't try the modalities, but it does mean they have choices to make. We know what our body is feeling better than anyone else, so it's up to us to make choices in relation to it. If someone has a diagnosed illness and they are considering exploring The Booth, I encourage them to consider their symptoms, their needs, and to discuss with their doctor.
I will continue to share information on what the modalities are known for, but it's one of those things where it will not be the same for everyone. Our awareness of the nuance that our body offers us when we are in a relaxed state is what will tell us how our body ultimately responds to treatment. In addition to the published studies that point to things like improved respiratory or skin health (halotherapy) or improved wound repair or nerve recovery (red light therapy), there are more studies happening across the globe with hopes of finding more in the potential of these powerful modalities.
You get out of The Booth what you put into it, and there's lots of opportunity for it to help - but bring in your medical professionals when making decisions in relation to your personal health so you can have a wide range of wisdom to guide your discernment on how you will take the reigns of your wellness.
I hope to see you soon,
